UAE passport ranked No.1 globally in 2026 with access to 182 destinations

For Emirati travelers, a wide choice of international destinations comes with fewer visa hurdles. The September 2026 Passport Reports ranking places the UAE passport first worldwide, with a mobility score covering 182 destinations, according to Gulf News.

That total includes several entry arrangements:

128 destinations allow visa-free visits.

44 destinations offer visas on arrival or other simplified procedures.

10 destinations use electronic travel authorization.

Another 16 destinations require a visa.

The report records full overall access across Europe and the Gulf, although entry procedures differ. Within the Gulf, Emiratis can visit Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia without a visa.

The UAE also appears in a separate welcoming-country ranking, where it places 91st. That measure examines entry access for foreign visitors arriving in the country, while passport strength measures citizens’ ability to travel abroad.

For anyone planning a trip, the distinction between visa-free entry, arrival visas and electronic authorization matters. Access to a destination can still involve paperwork, and permitted stays vary. Check your destination’s official entry requirements before booking.
